We’re already halfway through June, and while the world continues to face its fair share of noise and uncertainty, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on what this past year has meant for us at Findway Canada—and what it truly means to buy Canadian in 2025.
This year started off like a rollercoaster. Political tensions created real challenges for us, especially when it came to doing business with the U.S. Two major events happened almost simultaneously: one brought us immense hope, while the other forced us to make a tough decision.
First, the support we received from fellow Canadians was overwhelming. Never before have we seen our customers and community so vocal about standing behind Canadian businesses. We saw a wave of returning customers praising our products and service—and a huge influx of new faces discovering our custom all-season floor and trunk mats. Even during the slower summer months, your encouragement has kept us going. Many of you echoed the same message: “Support your neighbours. Support local.”
At the same time, we saw a significant rise in interest from the U.S. More American customers than ever were reaching out to us, wanting to support Canadian products and explore alternatives to the big-name brands they were used to.
But unfortunately, while we were excited to serve our American neighbours, the recent U.S. tariff policies made it difficult. Although our mats are designed, quality-checked, packed, and shipped from Canada, they’re manufactured in China—which means they're now subject to heavy import tariffs. In the end, we had to temporarily close our U.S. shop. It was a disappointing but necessary decision.
That said, we’re proud to say that Canadian customers won’t be affected by these tariffs. You can still enjoy Findway as a high-quality alternative to other car mat brands—without relying on brands from the U.S. And when you choose to shop with us, your money goes right back into the community—from our warehouses in Markham to your local Tim Hortons. That’s the honest truth.
In both our Canadian and American experiences this year, we’ve learned something simple but powerful:
Buying Canadian means showing love to your neighbours—whether they live across the street or across the border.
Thank you for continuing to support us. We won’t take it for granted.
