Why Our Return Policy Wont Change Any Time Soon

Since the inception of our company, many things have changed. We’ve moved into a bigger warehouse, launched a new website, and even revamped our entire product line. But one thing that has stayed the same—and that we don’t see changing in the foreseeable future—is our return policy.

It’s simple: you have 30 days to return our product for ANY reason, as long as it hasn’t been used.

That’s it. No fine print. Our goal is to make sure you get exactly what you’re looking for—nothing less.

In today’s world of e-commerce, this policy might sound like common sense, but in reality, it does a lot to help our customers shop with confidence. It also helps us as a company, in ways that go beyond sales.

So why bring up something that seems so “normal”?

A Shocking Experience With Another Company

Recently, we had the surprising experience of purchasing and returning mats from another floor mat company. The buying process was smooth enough, but the return process shocked us.

After initiating the return, we were instructed to destroy the perfectly good mats and send proof of destruction in order to get a refund.

Yes, you read that right. We had to throw away a brand-new, unused product just to get our money back. Not only was this shocking, but it made us wonder—is this really acceptable for customers?

How We Handle Returns at Findway

For us, things are different. We know mistakes happen—maybe you ordered the wrong set of mats, or maybe we sent you the wrong ones. Either way, it’s a simple fix. We provide a return shipping label for an exchange or refund.

No matter what it costs us, we will cover it.
What we will not do is ask you to hassle with destroying a product that’s still perfectly fine. And we certainly won’t throw away brand-new mats that could be used again.

Reducing Waste Through Recycling and Reuse

Our mats are made from TPE rubber, which is both recycled and recyclable. If disposal is necessary, it should be easy, worry-free, and environmentally responsible.

We’re even exploring a used/refurbished mats program as part of our waste reduction initiative. Some customers already offer to buy slightly used mats, and in some cases, returned mats that are technically “used” are still in great condition—more than good enough to be re-homed at a discounted price.

This is exciting for us because it not only reduces waste but also creates an affordable option for customers who don’t mind buying mats that aren’t fresh out of the box.

What Do You Think?

So here’s our question for you:

  • Do you think destroying perfectly good mats is acceptable?

  • Would you like to see a marketplace for used or slightly defective mats at a discounted price?

Let us know your thoughts in the comments. We’d love to hear your perspective.
